RECREATION
The art of doing what fills you up.
Recreation is about balance — from time outdoors to the projects, hobbies, and simple joys that make life richer. It’s how we rest, play, and reconnect with ourselves and each other.

“Out on the water, everything connects — the rhythm, the stillness, the space to think. That’s what Related is about — finding meaning in the moments between.”

our outdoor life

What began as Greg’s childhood fascination with the outdoors has blossomed into a shared lifelong love of nature for all of us. Shaped by a 70s and 80s childhood spent mostly outside, that love still shows up in how we move through our days. Greg finds peace in early mornings on the water—the quiet rhythm of casting a line, the sun breaking over still lakes, and the patience that only nature can teach. Meanwhile, our days are often filled with paddling kayaks, setting up camp, and exploring the trails less traveled.
For us, recreation is more than just fun—it’s a chance to reset, reconnect with each other, and appreciate the small moments that bring balance and meaning to everyday life. Whether we’re chasing a great fishing spot, navigating river bends, or sharing stories around a campfire, the outdoors is where we find calm, curiosity, and the inspiration that shapes everything we create.
This is what Related celebrates — the connection between who we are, what we love, and how we live. Greg’s passion for the outdoors reflects the heart of our idea: that every cast, every sunrise, and every quiet moment on the water are threads in the same design of a life well-lived.
Cast & Connect
Fishing, for Greg, isn’t about the catch — it’s about connection. Each cast carries a rhythm: breathe, wait, watch. On the water, the pace softens and conversations come easier — sometimes with others, sometimes with yourself. It’s a space where presence matters more than productivity, and where time spent together counts just as much as what’s caught.
wandering paths
Hikes, trails, geocaching detours, and aimless walks all carry the same quiet gift: movement without pressure. These are the days when curiosity leads, when the goal isn’t distance or elevation but discovery. Outdoors doesn’t have to be extreme to be meaningful - sometimes it’s just about getting outside and seeing what you notice when you’re not rushing past it.
Campfire and company
Not every meaningful moment happens on the water. Some happen around a fire, under a string of lanterns, or while setting up camp together. Camping is about shared effort and shared rest — meals cooked simply, stories told slowly, and the kind of laughter that only shows up when screens are out of reach. It’s where everyone has a role, and no one is in a hurry.
time that sticks
Recreation, at its best, creates memories that linger. A sunrise before the world wakes up. Muddy shoes by the door. A shared glance that says this was worth it. These moments — whether fishing, camping, or wandering — shape a life well-lived. Related celebrates time spent outdoors not as an escape, but as a return to what grounds us.
